I'm on CC 2015.0.0, with Quixel 2.2.0, and no issue like this when creating new project. On a Win 7/16G/SSD You could try to "save and reboot" from Quixel menu after the new project has been created. This free up the memory and reboot Photoshop and quixel properly. Hope that help you. -

Architecture is something to look for, and more for level designers if they want to do solid environments and not nonsense hallways and walls with repeated prefabs.
