I think the ligthing and the color choise is bad- it looks cheap and uninspired. Its a little bit like programmer art where colors are choosen purely because of rough association like turquoise for glow, or brown for wood or grey for metal. If you look at many earllier US games many of the games used similar colors where…

For short hair cuts i go for the spiky flat top look with lots of alpha 'fan' shapes For female long hair i have been trying a kind of hair helmet and also tried lots of 'leaves' of hair, raidiating from the crown. The problems lie with intersection of the leaves,…
I like it, its fun, but where is he? Is he on mars? Id love to see some bounce lighting baked in to the diffuse. For mars id make the ground a darker red/brown, and the sky a yellow/orange/brown. Then make sure to give him a environment map for the glass.
The BROWN! The BROWN ATTACKS!!! I really like how you can describe so much with giant shapes in these last three, any of them would make a fine model. The second one is the most appealing to me though, you nutter.

it looks like the fur has grown over the rock rather than the rock grown onto the gorrilla, could have bald patches where the hair has fallen out around the rock, would help sell the disease rock disease look
Nope, no bigger shot in my pocket. Yes it is very brown. It is because I'm a fan of "the Stranglers". Golden brown texture like sun Lays me down with my mind she runs... I'll try to make something more wide and colorful someday.
Okay- here are the two main directions for the colour scheme, with a grey bg... Opinions welcomed- do I go with brown, and just contrast the other colour more, go with grey, or another option? I'm leaning towards the brown but with some more work... ~P~
i pretty much am just referring to the wood grain thats there. from a med distance the wood kinda just looks like a brown blocky structure. darkening the indentations in the wood and outlining them with a light brown color would help it be more visible.
