Source SDK comes with any source game you have, like TF2. It shows up in the Steam library under tools, so you have them, but weather they'll work on a mac or not is another story. There just aren't that many game development tools that work with a mac and probably even less for TF2 because it was create 100% on a windows… -

oh, you! that reflectivity work really great. also, yes, some breakdowns or at least just the texture would be really interesting to see. Also I wish more stuff would happen during the video. Maybe some monitors "blinking" with interference, this red "eye" thing moving around looking at stuff, some color lights twinkle… -

I never looked into UT3 but did quite a lot with the early Unreal, Unreal Na Pali and UT games + editors and I highly preferred them over the HL and Quake 2 tools simply because it was way more powerful and easy + fun to use. I think a better word for what per was trying to say is Loose as opposed to sloppy. When I look at Mullins or someone like him I dont think their work is sloppy, sloppiness implies a sense of not carying and letting things fall wherever. What i think is important is to remain loose and be comfortable creating your art.… -

Well, first off you need the SMD exporter for 3DS Max. You can get that here: http://www.wunderboy.org/3dapps.php#max_smd (there's also an importer there :) ) You may wanna get the .VTF plugin for Max as well so you can actually view your model with Valve's texture format.
