"nothing worse then being stuck with a load of unsociable gits:) " Christ I could think of no worse pain than that heh, cheers Ruz and grats on your freelancing Il definately try not to undersell myself, im hoping for 18k but i wont settle for less than 16 + benefits heh Vig: Great idea thankyou, Im definately one of those…
It looks a lot better now that the thumbnails are more zoomed out and contain less text. I concur with the sentiment that the portfolio could be divided up into weapons/vehicles as well. The only new problem I could find was that the Scar is is mislabeled as a Spas 12. Lastly I would also make a default english about page…
The bamboo's fine. Those who say it's inferior can't have spent any great amount of time with them. My experience with the Graphire and Bamboo has been extensive, and I'd say they're each others equals in general. The Bamboo's build quality seems a bit better, in that the transparant flap over the active area is a bit…
in my experience this is a very made up situation. yes technically there are some pretty cool workflows floating around. but as soon as you have tons and tons of dependencies you start sticking to the old - working - workflows. as an individual freelancer who just pushes out final FBX files and textures, it might not…
Thanks for the replies so far. Unfortunatelly, I wanted to post something before, but for whatever reasons it went 'under moderation' or something and never appeared again... @BagelHero Thank you so far! I will rotate the palms / lower arms accordingly. Animation is planned via Blender (ARP/Rigify), only basic stuff first…
I am installing this program right now. So not really a problem, but since the site doesn't have a FAQ section or an overview of what exactly this tool can do, I'll just ask here. What engines/programs does this tool convert normal maps for? What is the benefit of this tool if you are already working with synced tangent…

From my experience, even when there's nothing on the horizon that equals opportunity, if you just keep on working at getting better and being prepared (like having a portfolio to show)…
Yup! I've got a daily schedule. I keep a written record of who I apply to every day and what I like about their company. After 5-7 days, depending on whether I sent it on a weekend, I'll follow-up to a company in addition to applying to a new one. I've gotten a response around 1 for every 10 that I send out! Though it's…
Looks great! I found it odd that the troll's skirt was as shiny as the rest of him. Dirty leather has a very low specular, unless it's really greasy. Think of a cowboy's dusty boot. Same with the hair, the leg bands, and the arm bands. Even if he used egg whites to straighten the mohawk, it wouldn't be that shiny, right?…
And thanks for the compliments everyone! I didn't have time to respond to you all last night, so here I go. :) Oh that's cool! After Wandake he was doing mainly freelance, so I shouldn't be surprised. Ryan is a great guy, and a fantastic artist. I hope to be able to work with him again soon. All the artists at Wandake were…
