Re: Is there any way to bring animation into unity without a rig/bones?
I was hoping to reduce the bone count cos even if they all have 10 bones, on mobiles 50 bones + 20 bones on main character is not feasible. They can use the same controller but still dont think I can have 70 bones in th scene on say a 2 year old phone. -

Getting way better Blazej, good job. But if you're serious about being a dedicated texture artist I would recommend you to get proficient with ZBrush texturing, 'cause your normals just scream flat and generated. And good normals seem like 70% of the deal these days for a material. Keep it up! -

You should harden edges that are about 70* or more, otherwise the normal can't handle the angle, I would guess that is your problem. Control edges wouldn't be acceptable in my book for a low poly model, they should only be used to minimize wavy patterns when baking and then removed for the final low poly. -

any reason you did the floor that way? no need to model out the tiles. just make that section a tiled texture and the trim a seperate tiled texture. as for your desk.. you can still have a normal map that helps bevel the edges, just make it tileable. This scene is about 70% tileable textures. -

I had so many issues with the Dead or alive (xbox 360 one) boss. The fucker has combos that can take down 60-70% of your life. GODDAMN I HATED HIM! THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES ME WANNA GO OUT AND TAKE OUT MY AGRESSION ON PARKED CARS!!!! -

Vitor - PC's account for at least 70% of the 'computer' market. All of those 'useless' apps you're talking about are absolutely needed for Joe and Jane Walmart, who have NO CLUE how to operate a computer. Like all PC apps, these features can be disabled by a person who knows how to run a pc. -

My wacom is reaching the end of it's life it's not reading pressure sensitivity as much as I would like and at 70$ this would be cheaper than the wacom I want. I just wonder how fast we will see other companies making plug in's, or integrating this technology. I would love to sculpt in z bush with this. -

Box/Gaussian Blur or a Lerp between two states of the texture with the latter having another lerp (a la Hemispherics) to determine coloration of the blur needs to be heavy. The prior usually costs around the 70-80+ instructions on the lightest while the latter costs around 20+ pending on how much on steroids you put it.
