I think its a great idea for a story. Off the top of my head (so don't quote me) this story reminds me of when East India Company - invaded India - beat the French - they had a private army - played all the kingdoms off against each other and made vast profits - at one point had half the worlds trade. Nationalised in 1858… -

i thought the complementary colors come from HSV/HSI where you simply paint the hue in a circle ang the opposing color is on 180 deg -

I'm not buying it if they don't improve the animation/lighting, Bethesda was really behind the times graphics wise with Fallout 3, it felt like playing morrowind 1.5. -
