What kind of anatomy references are you using? you should have material to help you nail the basic proportions first. Once you have realistic / ideal proportions, start carving in forms of the anatomy. You're trying to detail too soon, each level needs to be used to its full potential!
Thanks Guedin! Agreed with the blueish background, you are the second person to tell me about it. By the way, managed to render this character in cryengine 3 because of you, big thanks for the youtube tutorial video you made. I'm not the fastest at learning video game engine and you made it really easy and seamless for me…
That sounds great. Do you have any plans for how large the scene is going to be or are you just thinking stuff up as you go? I really hope you take this scene to it's maximum because I think it's going to look amazing with a few more props/weapons stuffed in there. Faktiskt s
^ Actually that's what I meant, a single thumbnail which takes you to several images, and each "model" is a widrescreen image with all the breakdowns. The only things you categorized from the start is your personal preference of what you want to show as you strong pieces. And everything else can be listed by the side.
You can blend in vertex data from the settings in Display > Polygons > Custom Polygon Display. It's called "Color in shaded display". That's for the viewport, if you want to render it you will have to do it with mental ray and it's a little tricky to set up.... think I have a screenshot of it somewhere if that's what you…

That's happened to me and always confused me, you save the last iteration, crash, and then can't load the last iteration you saved? Why is this, surely when you 'save' then this file is completely separate from the file/scene your now working with until you save again no? Cheers for your script Rob.
I think you can buy generic screen protectors that you can cut too fit. I guess you could try buffing out the scratch, like you would on a car. I personally use the spring nib, I can apply pressure, and never worry about scratching it.
[ QUOTE ] @ Danr : oops your right , funny i never thought about that hehhe. [/ QUOTE ] No, you could care less. Because you made the thread, then stopped caring so much about it. If you could not care less, then you would not care at all, making it impossible to care less. :P
Awesome work man :)! Love the modular textures you've got going on, looks pretty cool for a prototype. You should post a video if you can ;)! You can use software like Fraps to film and AviRecomp or something to compress it to whatever size (and resolution) you want. Good work so far!
