Some things I like, others a little less. Purple light clashes with the rest of the lighting and is not very accurate. The model is beautiful but the light in space (non-orbital) comes from a single source almost always. The light is "soft" in its edges has decay. But as the ambient light I would have chosen a single…
Always nice to see Last of Us stuff, it's in my top favourite games :) Is this set in game time, 20 years after the breakout? I'm not sure if the lamp would be on, if this is the case. The first thing I noticed about your scene is the sense of scale seems off. Most noticeably the coat hook on the door is at least twice the…
Another one "The light weavers of old turned bitter and evil as they found no reprieve from their never ending guardianship. Their hatred eventually twisted their form until only a husk of rott and decay remained." - Azun Chronicles part II Rott Weavers:
Hello everyone! Long time Polycount followers here, I hope this is the right category to post something like this ;) We're running a new contest for our upcoming game and we would love to get your take. I should point out that we are not looking for actual game assets, all entries must be submitted in image form. The…
a little update on the over paint. i added some more details and threw in a bit of color, the palette might change but i kind of like these colors. i want to keep the foliage more yellow or red to symbolize the decaying state of the professor's life
you may want to do more with damage and decay. if this thing has been sitting there for a while, you'll need to show the "life" of the scene through that. more intense lighting may help a bit too. check this scene out done by Jim Magill
Pretty spiffin work, the mummy i think lacks detail in the texture, I think further defining decay and such may help, cyclops looks like he cud do with some veins and his head seems rather shrinked, unless that's on purpose :]
That's exactly what I was thinking :D, I like the paint decay effect of the 4, the discoloration of 1 and 6. I'll try to combine them effectively. Really nice Ork Jet on your ArtStation page by the way, texturing work is top tier.
Started work on a better brick texture yesterday, totally dropped the ball on the first one, since it had been so long since I last did a tiling texture... I'm also going to work on an older and more decayed looking texture to blend with it.
Im working on a scene for class, it is supposed to be in the near future where the old technology is decaying as you can see from the rusting telephone lines. I wanted it to feel kind of sobering, forgotten and lonely not sure if that gets across. Any suggestions would help.
