downloaded the 2.65 build today and worked with it. didnt have any bevel error until now. snap worked everytime so far. occlusion stuff still broken didnt test bridge (well, i can live with a broken bridge anyway) quite happy so far btw, most used tool since implementation : vertex slide, i love it so much also, just to…
Just a quick heads up to those folks who are are using xNormal bakes in Blender. It looks like due to Bmesh, you now have to pre-triangulate you meshes before you bake in xN (which is good practice anyway), as there will be errors when you apply the normal map in Blender if you don't (even though they are both using the…
Hi all - is there a version of GoB that works between Blender 2.78 and Zbrush 4R7 ? Either GoB, or any other addon that would let one send a model to Zbrush in one click, and bring it back in one click. Even a Autohotkey script automatically writing/reading a dummy .obj file on the desktop would be fine. Best would be for…
Heya @kio - indeed, that's similar to what I had to do with another addon recently. That said in the case of this workplane addon the error remains even after renaming the zip and/or the installation folder and/or the folder name inside the zip. I would suggest you to provide a direct link to a foolproof zip somewhere in…
This is very handy and unlike my own attempts does the job. Thanks! However, the material viewport colors don't seem to update here in the scenes I tried (in 2.83). I've removed that entire section for now for an even more compact little floater. Perhaps it is user error though? At any rate I suggest you up the popup's…
@Fletcher I didn't know about that Align dropdown menu, nice, thanks Fletcher :) Unfortunately it wouldn't cut it for my purposes though, since I was hoping I would apply this with the Wonder Mesh plugin I have - those primitives, as awesome as they are, unfortunately do not have an option to align themselves automatically…
Thank you for the news. Noice! When you install a version of Blender that's never been on your computer you get a "Copy Preferences" option on the splash screen, when you run it. You can then click that to keep using your previous user preferences (hotkeys, custom addons etc.) http://blender.stackexchange.com/a/1920/29992…
The answer is - pretty damn accurate! Turns out I didn't know about Mesh>Normals>Set Face Strength>Strong. Using @kio 's method of applying a weighted normals modifier gave me the results I showed in my second post's last image, which still had some artifacts, but manually setting the normals to Strong in those faces…
Hey there Ruz - as a matter of fact this should be the behavior by default as skin weighting in Blender is just stored directly as vertex groups values. It's a bit alien at first because of how simple and "straight to the metal" it is, but it is actually very powerful as it allows for all kinds of non-linear editing tricks…
Most Blender addons are native tools, it's just that the addon is leveraging those tools and making them work more efficiently or tailored to a specific workflow. Machin3Tools Clean Up is using the native clean up tools from the mesh menu, but all in one handy hotkey. Edit: Now I'm having the same issue again, internal…
