Hm... It seems like it is related to painting on images with an alpha channel, as trying on a default cube didn't give me any issues until I tried adding in the previous texture (a saved out PNG file that has an irrelevant alpha channel at the moment).
For some reason I can no longer rotate my viewport at all in Blender, doesn't matter which save I load, which is very weird since any setting I screwed up would be save independent. It just shows this "axis snap" icon in the bottom left corner when I try to rotate, the viewport doesn't move at all but it does cancel…
to save all your preferences just do a backup of this folder some where C:\Users\******\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender about windows 10 I don't know, but I didn't see any complain on blenderartists so should be fine. xD
I am cross posting this from the Tech Artist Thread, havent gotten any reaction all day long, thought it might be more appropriate here? I made an addon for Blender. It lets you save out your images (and animations) automatically with a keyword based system (you dont need to use the keywords though). It also searches…
You can use the shift hotkey when dragging the gizmo, it'll make it as a new window. It's Shift+Space to quickly expand window (I guess you already know that  ). There's also a set of layouts that you can find and modify in the Info menu and save it as preference.
Wow, I wish this had been released before. Would have saved me tons of time D: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p_uLcObW1k[/ame] http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?374697-Addon-Cycles-Multi-Tile-UDIM-non-destructive-painting
Ahh. I always save in incremental numbering (i.e. 741.blend for my 741th revision), those blend1 files really build up on the disk usage after a while. I just simply find them all and then nuke them to eternity when i'm short on space.
I'm hoping so, it doesn't help blender in any way to have yet another program artists cant use together with it, especially something as widespread as photoshop. Having to save as tga every time I want to view a change in blender is not the most comfy thing out there :P
Go to File->User Preferences, Themes tab on top, 3D View on the left. Find Face and Face Selected colors 13 rows down from the top. Click the colors and drag alpha to zero. Save user settings and you should be good to go. Is this what you're looking for?
I released a bunch of scripts recently and started a thread to keep track of then, feel free to use them :) http://polycount.com/discussion/191787/jaks-blender-scripts-a-bunch-of-time-saving-tools-for-blender-free/ Here's an example of the latest script B) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfZNOD_5gv4
