well done man, well done. captured the pistol pretty faithfully. just a portfolio piece or what? also impressed with the likeness here though i'm generally used to seeing this actor in his older and more jowel-y days
I started this model for my final. It's a Russian armored troop carrier, BTR-90. It's just under 9000 polys and has a 2048x2048 texture. I want to really make this model a big part of my portfolio so crits are welcome. Thanks!
duck - i really dig your portfolio man...only critique on the posted guy is the position of the strap holding the googles ..its a little bit off...but he is cool anyway...great work... mladen ...jesi dobro?...coool stylin character...love the proportions...
I'm still working at improving my portfolio. Some game environment shots. Made with Blender and from the viewport using GLSL. I would really love to hear some feedback. So I can improve things in the next project I work on.
Cheers, ya that's the reason I'm not putting him on my portfolio so far, it's really that obvious eh ? I did a quick mesh fix (via model, I have no intentions of doing any farther texture revisions), but I wonder if its passable ?
racer> cool beans. You've really captured the concept :D thinking about what I want to be modeling for the next month or so while I keep applying to jobs. Man I wish I could just have a new portfolio instantly :P
EricV: Thx man! me like your comment and your portfolio :] divi: haha, thx! i've made a tiled texture in zbrush then some post process in photoshop. For a quick test i think it's OK. I put a bit more on my sketchbook thread...
Rollin mc awesome sauce! Love the character man, only thing that is a bit hard to read is the fur along his collar, but maybe after you tweak the materials as you said, it could read a bit better. Either way, awesome execution, and another solid piece for your portfolio.
Working on Portfolio! First is from a photo refrence from a town ten mins from here. This may not make it in but I have to start and learn so I can have work that far surpasses what I "learned" in school. Thread is http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=69819 WIP Image:
hey guys, I made a little temp portfolio last night to show off the works I've made that I like. I'm not actively looking for a job yet (since i'm employed), but if you guys have any suggestions on what's not up to par, feel free to chime in. http://scottjonsson.carbonmade.com/
