This is just a small test I did today. The diffuse it's just an image I slapped on for tests sake. It's quite high poly atm (7k) but it could probably be optimized down to 2-3k.
The grip doesn't really share the style of the rest of the gun but I've seen the ref image and you did it right but still it looks weird. Ever consider putting your own spin on the model, Hal?

hm I'm no fan of the fixes on fletchers image.. the "something" that makes it interesting is lost a bit.. maybe just even out the feets A BIT! .. but just a bit.. but that's just my opinion technically it's not wrong what swizzle made
oh now there is an image, nice work disco stu. I dunno if i really like the cloth, it has an overall thickness in the wrinkles which i'm not such a fan of, i'd try to give the wrinkles a less circular profile
