In jan this took me 4+ hrs. Now i did it in 25/30mins. Not as great as what you guys are showing here but i'm still proud of it hehe. Needs some improvement but wanted to limit it on 30mins. 1448 tris. Render is + inspiration image cutout from a dark souls wallpaper.
Hey, I just arrived in this forum and must say I totally love this thread. There is some awfully awesome stuff here. Totally inspired me to play around with a sphere and this is what I managed in like 30 mins... PS: They called him names at school! Children can be mean. :)
Nikto w/necktie riding space mountain. I was really inspired by the prawn video Tom Parker (crazyfool) posted on Vimeo. So, I took an old model I'd made in sculptris and went at it with the clay tubes brush. ~2 hrs. (Sculptris model I started with http://tinyurl.com/4u6fhc4)
Wow Renaud, I am always humbled and inspired by your work, even if it is speed sculpts! Could you give me an idea of your workflow? Perhaps what brushes you use most, what your basemesh is and that sort of thing? Thanks for sharing your work for us all to see!
Woohoo! Thank the heavens (or the pixologic people more accurately) for sculptris! I've been dying to try out this new type of tool, and now I can! Here is my first attempt at these sculpting programs, only had about 45 mins to fiddle: You guys sure are inspired! There are tons of really impressive stuff in here!
Ages ago I know, but thanks for feedback :) Yeah thanks, it was intentionally not-so-human in form, but still I guess I was a bit lazy as well. You keep churning out these top notch speedsculpts Ravenslayer, really inspiring stuff! Going for a more realistic approach here, struggling a bit - And learning Mudbox as well:
Decided to try to learn zbrush and sculpting again. My sculpt is probably crappy, but someone might still get inspired or something :) I am just amazed at all the cool models and sculpts that I just had to post. Hopefully I will be placing more sculpts here cuz this are basicly stuff that I wont finish.
first classical model since... erm eons inspired by Japhir and the will to do something "oldschool", my modelling has become quite rusty, 3 hrs or so with a lot of breaks, i guess with sculpting i would have been faster, as i'm not modelling anything complex these days @swizzle: i like that hulk of yours @jasp: haha great…
just got Zbrush last night, very easy to use... it's like playing with Clay.. love it. anywhoo here are my first quick doodles. I used to do some light modeling stuff in 3dsmax back in the day, but this is the first time I have touched modeling in like 9 years :D... I was inspired after watching some videos on youtube with…
@Renaud I love it! Updated again after work, Sculptris speed modeling the back of the char. The front is still pretty rough. Just started this new character today at lunch. Inspired by Dead Wood/Red Dead Redemption/Bill the Butcher (Gangs of New York the movie) characters. Going for something with more realistic anatomy…
