Added the substance painter scene file of my Hard surface preview sphere, got a lot of questions regarding it, so instead of answering a lot of questions I'm just adding it to gumroad, so if anyone wants to take a look feel free to do so. Download - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WbovN
I wanted to study something new and completely out of my comfort zone. It was a nightmare trying to get the body and the head to work, a lot of the time it just came out creepy.. I underestimated how hard it was to bring a 2D character into 3D space, especially to make it artistically pleasing. Artstation Cheers, Mike
All of the awesome hard surface work in here makes my brain melt. 'Nother update on this likeness. Doing some shader tests before I start refining certain areas a bit more. x-post from my thread here: http://polycount.com/discussion/172776/georges-st-pierre-a-likeness/p1
So Im finally at the end. I've done the hair, posed it up and am about to make the stand. I could just really use some pointers on the hair though. I tried really hard, but hair is always outside of my grasp. If you like to give me any advice, please feel free to stop by my thread.
Man, I'm really sorry for those two posts in a row, it's really hard to edit a post with a Sketchfab model in it. Anyway, here's what I've been working on: updating an old project and putting it in Sketchfab! Texture breakdowns and stills on my Artstation. EDIT: it turns out third time isn't the charm either. Here's the…
Just a small scene I built up in around 2 hours to quickly try the 2xTurbosmooth technique, really powerfull indeed! Thinking in doing some exciting never-seen-in-existence sci-fi corridor to practice this workflow. It's hard for me to come up with new ideas to break up silhouettes, any good refs out there for my inspo…
My first human 3D head ever. Still work in progress, having a hard time learning how to do hair and beard, already tried several times and it always looks really bad. I have no idea about how I should do it. (I know that is has some ugly looking edges on the bottom and some smaller problems on the ear)
working hard on my artstation 3d environment challenge every night after work. Felt like my scene really needed something more dynamic to give it more life , so experimenting with cloth atm. No textures, UV's or anything yet for the cloth, just trying different setups. Link to my submission…
I wrote on my post on artstation that I bought both the body and the head from 3Dscanstore to push my realism level. It's hard to make a head more realistic than.. a real head. It is not unusual for studios to used scanned data, so why not use it for personal projects and portfolio? It is another resource like textures,…
Here my personal project Sadhi Favn I worked on that is really hard and hope you like it))) Model has 80K polygons and multiplay texture 4k resolution. Unfortunately i can't upload the model in the viewer in full resolution, the file is 37 mb and Marmoset viewer has limit only 15 mb. Because of that the model in the viewer…
