You might want to turn the bloom pretty much off. League doesn't have bloom like Unreal. If it has any. Turning that waaaaay down will probably make it look a lot more like league.
Love both of your FX so far! A few suggestions about the Ezrael (fire effect whatever its called) effect. First: for both the first version and the new version, I think you should have the fire/smoke texture be a bit sharper. AKA have there be less fading on it to give it a sharper look. I love the effect but that fire…
Hmmm, maybe have the fire underneath your projectile trail behind it farther, instead of right underneath it? It may look good to have it right behind the inner curve, since nothing that is emitted while moving will stay directly next to it's source, unless it is emitting at a violently fast rate. Also, how do you make…
Oh! Thousands of thanks! *^* I'm gonna look into this! :D EDIT: You made my day! I successfully integrated your material in my effect. :) I'll post a WIP as soon as everything's done. ^_^ Many thanks! :D
Well, didn't work on the impact yet, finally. xD Just a tiny bit. I just completely wiped out the old channeling and made a new one. It's still very early, but you can see what's my idea. :)
I agree though I love the back blast. Pushed out to the sides around the sphere would look pretty great. With some swirling.... :D I almost wanna make you a slick smoke flipbook in Houdini haha.
Woah! Neat! But now discharge looks a way too heavy for this .. uhm .. a bit 'weak' channeling. ;) I mean the energy burst needs to be more pronounced now, more powerfull to match that massive discharge and hit effect. Hope you get my drift. :)
Thank you! *^* Here I tried a few variations on this subject. Without the runes, and without the little flames on the sides: Without the runes, but with the little flames on the sides: Personally, I prefer the one with the flames. Makes it easier to read the AOE imo. :) EDIT: Adding a view on the caster.
A really quick WIP: And a new .gif: Basically a color test. Don't know if it's better or not. Will revert if you think the old feel was better. :) EDIT ====== Got some bad feedbacks about the blue gaz-like effect. Reverted it. So, some new close-up gifs:
Thank you! :) I'll start working on the second spell a bit, so that I know where I'm headed. I'll keep working on the first one, but I want to pause it for some time. Then, I'll be able to see the mistakes and correct them. :) I'll upload new WIPs asap!
