I believe this would do well with some colorvariation and depth in it :) there is also quite a noticeable vertical line in you texture as what I'll show you in the picture below:
Demonith: I don't quite understand your questions. As far as the texture resolution is concerned, you pick an image size in Photoshop, or whatever app you use, and use it to paint the texture.
