Since I bought octane render like 3 - 4 years ago and don't get to use it much, I sometimes get the need to do some rendering inside. This render does not serve any purpose whatsoever just for fun :)
I'm just constantly practising heads, so I can try to instill some life into their faces. This was a 4 hour speed sculpt - I decided to mess around with the render settings, 3d Posterize etc, it's pretty fun! Comments and crits welcome :)
thinking I'm about 3/4 the way through this likeness.. I keep flipping from.. "yeah he's coming along nicely".. to "damn its nothing like him" so something throwing me off.. anyone know who he's meant to be?
Giving painting a bit of a go, some fun 3 to 4 am practice while I still have one day of holiday left, if you have any feedback it'd be appreciated, first real attempt at doing more than just a sketch.
This is based off an original concept from creature box http://creaturebox.com/ the fat guy took like 3 or 4 hours i have a timelapse that i will post at some point i guess haha if anyones got tips on rendering it would be great thanks
Here's a sculpt I've played around with to judge how far I've come in the past 4 yrs since I last attempted him. Based off one of my favorite male actors, hope he's recognizable. I'll finish him one of these days :)
Particle effect in UDK. This will hopefully go into my demo reel. I have about 15 quad particles on a frame. It uses a 256x256 texture with 4 channels. One material has 42 pixel shader instructions, the other has 60+65(distortion) pixel instructions:
Okay, so I finished up my little skull chest project. Fixed up some modeling and had to remodel, rebake, retexture probably about 4-5 times... ugh. Anyways, creative critiques very much welcome. And if none, I'm off to the contest.

@thedarkknight - really decent block-out for that time frame. Getting a good likeness. For myself, a shoe, done in about 4 hours. Tried to see how quick and clean I could do it. For the escape challenge. found here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118213
