I always wonder how do people animate hair, I am not much into animation in 3D so i have not much knowledge about the hair system, but I do know that in games they use hair cards and stuff like that but question is how does animate hair which is so high poly like in films. Do they rig them, if so how?
Texture is much better and I like the way the hair frames her face. The tendrils of hair themselves are still pretty thick, giving the hair heavy feel.
Has anyone seen the Hair menu in Maya 2012? It's strangely absent. In the Plugins menu I can find and enable Fur, but not Hair. According to the 2011 Documentation it's in the Dynamic Menu Set, but in 2012 it's called nDynamics, and it's not there. Even when trying to customize the Menu Sets, the Hair Menu is nowhere to be…

Some good advise there - really appreciate it. @Tenchi: To model the hair I used GMH Mel Script ( Geometries to Maya Hair Script) developed by Phung Dinh Dzung, which converts geometries hair patches to Maya Hair As for the shader I used Pavel Ledin's mental ray hair shader

Hello When I apply the Hair Card Material on a Hair_LOD Static Mesh it disappears. The Material is working on the original Metahuman. Any help would be amazing thanks
