whoa I like those stairs a lot. They really seem worked out of the stone and decayed over time ... :D keep it coming! if you really want to put the house up there my only concern would be scaling issues with the rocks and stairs. Just saying :D
it looks really nice but if he is so slim (decayed/rotten) that you would see the ripcage this much ... i dont think you would have such a well defined breast muscle ^^ also the ribcage seams realy large ... could be because of stylisation ^^ same goes for the shoulders
i love that painting. seems you would need alot of poly density on the metal to get that subtle decay, might try the nvidia normal map filter instead, just my $.02. you've captured the proportions/details well so far. looking forward to progress...:)
Hi everyone, I'm a Spine animator and artist with over a decade of experience bringing characters and ideas to life. I'm actively looking for work opportunities and freelance work and would love to collaborate on projects that need a creative touch in both animation and art. Let's connect!
Okay, I've made a shader in ShaderFX and now 3DS Max can do what I wanted. Download the shader here: http://www.filedropper.com/3dmaxvertexcolor-shaderfx Here is what I see in 3DS Max: And here is what Unity3D shows with the shader I've talked about in my previous post: So everything is okay somehow. Two Important…
Alright, I finally made myself finish it. Finished textures, added gloss (specular decay, width or whatever you call it) and reflection texture. Oh and here proper final rendering in xsi. 5 lights + phong shader, nothing fancy although I like the end effect.
@JasonLavoie: Thanks for the advice man, i'll keep that in mind :) So guys back with a light pass. I'm probably put the decay of the lights to something like 2.1, and i'll be replacing the white box with a large generator. I might put orange lights at the bottom the generator, still deciding on that.
hmmm house boat... a boat in general would be great. Just so long as the zombies don't climb up your anchor. BTW wouldn't zombies float? they are decaying after all so they would float theoretically so they would just float up to your boat and get on.
Resin casts also didn't used to be alive. Yuck, yuck, yuck. My gag reflex for death and decay is very shallow. :/ (decent reference though, I don't think I ever seen a male/female skull comparison in front and side views before. Leeching for the archives!)
My workflow was: Level blockout --> Max --> Kitbash stuff to get some neat shapes --> End up deleting half of it --> Get level geometry I'm happy with and toss it in engine --> Make tiling textures and chopping the geometry up into smaller seperate meshes as I go. --> Lighting --> Decals, lots of decals, and that's where I…
