I've used zbrush fibermesh to do hair and bring it into maya to render in mental ray, felt the results were pretty good, it can take awhile doing things like applying the hair system to the curves, but zbrush has good tools for manipulating the hair so you shouldn't meed to do much in maya, mainly faff around with the hair… -

Make sure they only fade out near the tips, a ways away from the skin. It also helps to give them volume at the scalp line instead of just planes. It sucks, but if it`s any comfort at least you are not the only one I find that disabling the ribbon and the viewcube may improve viewport performance a bit (roughly 20% more fps in my test scene) but won`t solve the mysterious flickering when selecting SOs in Editable Poly or the FFD modifier problem This is all in… -

zbrushing something that large would be silly, you might as well use procedural maps and greyscale decals as a fine-detail bumpmap on the high-poly, and bake that down... saves having to make hugely dense meshes and faff around for hours in zbrush. set up some nice dent and noise procedurals in the bump slot, render it all… -

Hypothetically speaking if an individual made a nonprofit spinoff game based of another popular IP with a disclaimer in the begining and credit given in the end credits. Would this be legal?
