I tested these brushes out last night. Along with Simon Chapman's Fur VDM brushes (look for them on artstation store), I made this bearman in about 45 minutes (beginning from a standard man base mesh.) Lot of fun using these brushes, they have a nice feel.
Good idea re free parking. Anuxi will be at TI3 all day, every day from open until midnight doing the valve thing! I won't be able to do the 10th until the late afternoon, around 3:30 - 3:45 ish but sunday is totally free.
Hello again I have been slacking with my studies this last week, but here is what I did 45 min. Will add color soon to this one I am really liking the feel of this picture And this gurl, I would liek to rename this thread to limit it to just environments
Model: Awesome! Texture: Super good, but a few seams. Rig/pose: I agree with Poop, that rig job is killing it. Looks like the spine bones had too much influence over the arms, probably because the arms where modeled so close to the body. 45 degrees!
Secondary motion is secondary motion. Whether you think of it as tacky or not, adding that movement will help making her seem more alive. Is she supposed to look old (45-55)? If not you need to work on the face. Moving the mouth up and making the cheeks less "saggy" might help with that.
Dataday, why don't you actually look at some numbers instead of parrotting large publisher's rhetoric. Here's last years. http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Digital-Game-Sales-Hit-10-Billion-2012-Used-Game-Sales-Retail-Down-54210.html So there you have it - last year the entire used games market wouldn't have made a dent in…
That's a pretty nice WIP. The biggest critique from me is that her arms could be raised at least to a 45 degree A-pose. Right now you'd have a hard time to retopology her armpits, let alone bake textures for them. Other than that, keep at it! ;)
There's nothing wrong with doing stuff modular. just make sure you don't make everything at 90/45 degree angles. And take advantage of being able to do more than just typical level editors, have you played skate 2?
45% of gamers are female according to a study by the ESA. Unrelated to quote: Completely dismissing something because someone calls it "offensive" is something which I cannot even fathom. Offense is indeed a mostly useless response to something, but that does not mean there isn't a real issue.
oh yes the solution to my problem was to convert my highpoly to editable mesh then back to editiable poly. very strange indeed. and im not using a camera thats just a view port screen grab, default fov, which i think is 45 degrees.
