Thank you guys for your comments... The teapot.. the teapot.. oh man it was mostly a joke because i did not know what to model/shade so i did it with the teapot that was sitting on my desk at that time ! ... and i just started Blender at the beginning. I guess i will remove it... Do you think it's better to REMOVE or to…
To all Animators ....after a lot of reflection, I’ve realized that quality animation process/workflow videos are unfortunately not always affordable or available to everyone in certain parts of the world. The internet, on the other hand, is something that most people have access to, which is why today I’m announcing the…
You were right - I didn't export the model to any game engine yet - just used 3ds max and Mudbox. I realise now that Max has issues with displaying normal maps in viewport. So I'm currently use Xoliul and 3point shaders. Goat Justice, yeah, Edit Normals wasn't the right choise... gsokol, I've triangulated it before baking.…
Hi guys, A lot of time without posting, but I had some difficulties to integrate my model in Railworks, especially with the normal map. Normal map is managed by the kuju shader a little bit differently that other shaders in common engines. So, i had to rebake my model until I corrected all artefacts. I will not have this…
no worries, i havent really started the face so far, just blocked out the main features and smoothed it. I do have problems with sculpting faces, only done a human face twice before Braids: were made using splines. based them on this: http://kevinjohn3d.blogspot.com/2007/12/creating-braid-in-3ds-max.html I cut off the…
Unfortuneitly there isn't much you can do about it. Because the "FFD Box" can have a lot of combinations of points it uses quaternion curves to solve the deformation. If you've ever worked with TCB curves in the curve editor, it will make a little more sense. I don't think it uses TCB to solve the pre-defined FFD's like…
I would personally try to use as many tile textures and repeating modular pieces as possible. For the wooden supports those would all use sections of one wood tile material. Most of the undamaged building would be a brick tile with possible geometry cuts for unique damaged details or use decals for slight variation, water…
@Suburbbum: Thanks for the crit, man. Now that you've brung up that curly fry comment it's all I can see! lol. But I think I'm going to stand by the twists becuase I do (currently, not shown in the last update) have some of the traditional 3-strand braids in there as well. I think that will break up the pattern a bit, and…
Hey guys, long time since my last post. I have to complain a bit, my hard drives caused me trouble and I haven't been able to use my PC for a while, now that everything is OK here is a character that I recently created. This is Kriss. Can't say much about it because I made him for an unpublished project that is still in…
You might want to look at controlling the pallet a little more. Maybe create some colour swatches so you know the range you are going for to help keep things blended. You can see Diablo and Sungeon Siege used blues/greens in the rock and wood textures to keep them all feeling the same. Objects that are useable often stand…
