I think this would look fantastic if the legs were even shorter and more withered - then (as previously said) it would waddle from arm to arm.....weird but fun.
There's a lot of ways to rewrite this show into more a more manageable tangle. It's season two and regular watchers can't even remember all the POV character's names. I have a hard time watching the show too, but I just try and enjoy that they're making scenes from the book into reality and succeeding almost half the time.
I used it like that a long time ago : default max keys, middle click on the low rocker, right click on the high rocker. However I strongly suggest you to pick up DRaster Switcher for Max, to bring in Maya controls. They are better overall, and much more tablet friendly too. (same rocker configuration as above)
it depends on the original skeleton joint orientation; controller rotation when it was connected to the skeleton; orientation of the intermediate objects like space switchers, roll joints, etc, plus any constraint offsets, then on top of that there's rotation order. and rigger preference/habits. just something animator…
BTW: You can change to single default liighting by editing the corresponding defaults in your "CurrentDefaults.ini" ( check the "Custom UI and Defaults switcher which one is relevant to your setup, or simply change in every "CurrentDefaults.ini" you can find ) The corresponding line isSingleDefaultLight=1 Where "1" enables…
I love your work so much. This is looking awesome. Jost and I were wondering if you did any of the work or assets for the forest scene in CE3FSDK. Those cliffs are awesome and blend to the floor very nice. The scattered fallen bits are really a nice touch. Will this environment be explorable by watchers when it's done or…
Thanks Eric Oh yeah, and when I'm working in max, I use 'Switcher' so it's the same movement control scheme as Maya. At my last job I worked with the guys who wrote it... They also wrote 'Nex' which brings a lot of the max style selection specific tools over to Maya... their website is dRaster.com
This will be interesting, though we'll just have to wait and see whether Mudbox will rise again to whoop the shit out of ZBrush, or whether it will just wither away to nothingness. -caseyjones
Update time! latest exe: http://www.redprodukt.com/testing/PlasmaPig_beta07.exe Main change stuff: - graphical improvements - difficulty curve adjustments - can press and hold to boost even when triggering switcher circles - music - err, lots of game tweaks I can't remember to list thanks!
Thanks for the help, ladies and gents... I'm getting to grips with render passes/ in 3DS Max and compositing in After Effects right now. JoerIV, thanks you I also tried with "environment/background switcher" map which is useful too, but it isn't quite giving me the results I'm hoping for.
