Couldnt of summed it better, its a real shame that we have organisations throwing stuff at the goverment and there taking no note. I think there just waiting till things get quieter so they can call it job done, which ofc it will do once most of the studios have gone under/moved overseas ;(
Texel Density is the sum of a function that has three parts: -Texture Size -UV Size -World Size If your TD is too low/too high, you need to scale up/down one of these. In your case I will asume that you can't resize the model so make the texture larger or make the UV's span multiple tiles.

So, to sum it up. Diffuse -> Albedo Specular -> Metalness Gloss -> Roughness Is that kinda sorta it ? But then how do you get something like leather jacket coated to appear shiny ? It would reflect light, but it's not metal. Would I give it some metalness and some roughness both ?

I'm looking at a way of painting tangent space normal maps in the viewport so the orientation of UVs is important - I figured you'd need to account for something similar in your stuff. no worries though - it's all possible, I just need to figure out how the sums work.
