A UV seam doesn't matter. What matters is a hard edged seam from having two intersecting meshes. With a "merged" model you will never get that, with intersecting models you will always get aliasing. What Fletch is saying is entirely correct. Just look at his example. The less hard intersections the more seamless and…
@Eric Chadwick Thank you! Im having alot of fun messing with this, especially at this stage where everything is really coming together visually. Also yes that gif is super helpful! Ill mess around with how I can get a similar effect with my post processing next time I work on this!
The channel is allready checked, but since im trying to save texture memory i used some overlapping faces. Theese where only used on areas where i know it looks the same on both sides and would have identical occlusion anyhow.
"It's better to dig in and learn the process yourself, hard-surface modeling is actually very achievable." SECONDED! @Collins you're only cheating yourself and the artists, specifically their work having been flogged off as your own.

Cool. 3dcoat once was my favorite soft for materials . Not sure why it all still look so complicated although. I would prefer just a single node flow and layers just as an ability to quickly switch on and off certain node brunches. Also very much hope the base noises are not only UV projected or triplanar blurry . A true…

If you implement that in combination with the rule of thirds and make sure that your lighting and color support the same focal point that the composition does - you'll be ahead of most people!…

I haven't used Z for 5 years so this info might be incorrect. Depending on what you want the end model for, the first thing is to set up scale between Z and yr 3D package. You do that with the start cube. Just GoZ the start cube to yr 3D prog and play with the export settings till it is exactly perfect. If GoZ isn't…
Hello, this is an environment I have worked on over the past few months on and off. It was inspired by the Darksiders series and the environments in those games. With this I had tried to push myself in creating something stylized. I am happy with the results, however I am aware of the flaws within the piece. I created the…
