I don't believe the assets on show could have been created by one man in a year let's alone the gameplay swell. Now if most of the assets are outsourced then that's a different matter. It looks cool though a bit generic imo
Wow, that's not really the way we had it on MPC though. Were the FX houses your friends were in smaller ones that took outsourced work from larger companies? In that case it's pretty much the same in games I think.
Each place I look is over-seas :[ (or too much cash). Y'know, ever since we outsourced our large ball making tech outside of our nation, we've taken a dive economically. Think about it.
@st4lis: Most of the artists are external too, so we've been outsourcing art overall. It's all been surprisingly stylistically coherent, something we thought would be difficult to maintain with a fairly large team. Still is, of course, but not unmanageable!
Eastern Europe - outsourcing studio - yes, you can live well since the living costs are so low, I imagine as a freelancer you could earn even more if you work directly with clients over the Atlantic.
