Ah ok thanks for your reply. I had tried the sub d route but only on the original mesh. I found that the results see a bit naff as it was following the topology of the airframe not the underlying wood structure. Perhaps I should dip my toes into sculpting and use a proxy mesh to get those ridges. Thanks again -

It's coming, just they got the timeframe wrong. Most likely it will be a century for full one button AAA style graphics. But advancements have been made for smaller assets. Never heard of any issues with the 970 and Maya. The thing to worry about with a new card like the 390x is that there may be some issues initially, but it is also basically an 8GB 290x so you should be cool either way. That is fantastic work. I love all the details of the pieces in one item, especially the joints. It's the little things that sale the look. I think so far my favorite is the hiefram because of all the small pieces that make up the look, like the bolts and wire mesh on the front. Can't wait to see more. -
