@NicolasW Sweet! I'm working on a simple UI to properly assign the images to the right slots in Vray for Maya. Next I want to setup the scene to mimic Painter and maybe even vice versa. Is there any SDK/API for Painter to get at it's camera info, IBL image, scene settings, etc.? That'll make it nice and easy to do…
Here's my weekend post. Got this image from itsartmag.com a while back. Love the scene so much that I decided to create the scene in 3D. Excuse the rectangle in the middle. It is suppose to represent a player. This is the main goal for it, but I am still undecided if I want next gen with good texture or low poly with hand…
The work looks good, you have really over the top color grading tho, giving all 3 scenes a kind of similar grimdark feel. The textures for your second scene, I cannot read what they are supposed to be. The diffuses are only noise per example. Also try out if the white carbonmade background dosnt look better. Its all so…
Okay, It is time to show you all what I have been working on lately. I am working on creating a 3D Scene of Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. For my 3D Scene I am going to interpret the Nilt Tavern from concept to 3D. Here is what I got so far: The Concept: Nilt Tavern Interior of basic primitives to show blockout.
Hey guys, I've made some progress in my spare time. I made a trim texture to reuse
throughout the scene: And here are some wip shots of the scene as I was going along, the last being the most recent: Not a lot of time left as we are
nearing the end, but I will try to get this looking like something as I continue to replace…
@TeriyakiStyle Thanks. Ya will try my best. :> I revamped the scene again because the post process shader for the more cartoonish look didn't allow to use a metallic texture and i was in general not really happy with the scene. Here some new pictures: I also rigged for the first time a character... it was fun and…
Hi there, Just open your scene > right click in your view port > Manage State Sets... then select: States > Options > Reset State Sets you'll get a message like this: I personally didn't have any of that to lose, so I chose 'Yes', saved my file, closed Max before reopening my scene and both errors were gone.
Added a couple more props to the cabinet and deciding to finish up with this! After spending so long in this scene though I've been thinking about playing with my basic UE4 render scene and giving it some more functionality, so I may look at going into that if I get anywhere with it! If not, there are a couple more half…
The contrast does look really nice, with the lights and the darks...but I feel like a lot of your hard work isn't visible when you have such dark areas in the scene. I would try to find some believable way to light up the scene more. Maybe add in a window, some basements have those ground level windows to allow more…
The biggest problem with your portfolio is that you have no game art in it, all of your scenes are subdivision models that are offline rendered. I also think it's best to choose subject matter that isn't ubiquitous in real life (guitars/drumsets/staircases) and if you are then try to pick something that at least stands out…
