Here's the low poly at 14k tris. I eliminated the symmetry line on everything to lower the tri count, but I'm thinking of reapplying symmetry to the whole thing if not just smaller parts. The tri count increases to 16k if I mirror everything. This would be for a fps so I imagine mirroring isn't really an issue no matter…
@ R0gu3 I was thinking about that too, so I did a bit of research..apparently it heavily depends on the engne and the type of game, but the official CryEngine 3 documentation says about 9-16k triangles for a main character, while for example Drake from Uncharted uses 20-30k.. Would be interesting how those numbers change…

Yeah lowest bid but could still be worth in the millions. U.S. air force Raptor cost something like $137 million per jet. The worst weapons I think are the ones that are costly to make, overstuffed with tech but still easily vulnerable to small arms fire like the Cobras and whatever APCs deployed on the roads right now…
Very nice and painterly. 16k is tremendously large in terms of poly count though, for any engine -as far as I know. He's small enough that you could probably cut him down to about 4-6k tris. The extra poly counts probably help make him look super aliased for presentation purposes though! Great job!
