Can you post an example? Sometimes you just have to paint out details on meshes with instanced or mirrored parts.

this is exactly the way I made it :thumbup: fast and good result, and BTW tesher a cube is a bad example for pelting :poly142:

I was able to get the 80 tris down to 60, as in the example, but not the from 48 (8 segment sphere) down to 40.

in the shader use something like (simplified example) texCUBElod( cubeMap, powermap) to sample from different LODS of a reflection map

I am trying to find a shader/material that has similar slots to marmoset toolbag, for example slots for translucency, gloss, spec, ao, difuse.normal what do you suggest?

Nice progress :) A few areas are still highpoly for this kind of mesh for example the grid could be baked down to a plane.
