Thanks, RN. Noted. Using the data transfer modifier :- ) I still need more practice. I am studying this atm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STTeYMyBHNc There is also a downloadable blend file. Seems you can shade the character using vertex color. Still need to get how it works.
Thanks. No these we're all actually old fashioned sub-d in Maya. I was starting to dabble in zbrush more, but my home PC died, and in production can't sacrifice the time to ramp up on zbrush and hit the quality bar needed. I do plan to transfer over mostly to zbrush in the future though.
http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?tid=12&cid=481 Check out these. You'll need to gain a good understanding of animation in your chosen software before you could hope to do this. Keep in mind that knowledge gained from videos labelled as 'for Unity' or 'in 3DS Max' can be transferred between packages.
I still use pshop in 2d and then tidy up the seams in zapplink or whatever. The problem with zbrush for texturing is that you lose resolution when transferring between programs. If I am not mistaken , deep pain had this problem also, so you end up with a texture which is a bit blurred compared to the source.
Hey-hey poly people. I am working on a character in anime style. I am planning to make it look as hand drawn as possible, my direction for style is mostly "Jujutsu kaisen" and "Chainsaw Man" anime titles. A little bit about workflow: it is directionless now, so expect a massive amount of triangles on a screen.I do mostly…
Thanks for the feedback! ill try to keep that in mind and cut back abit on the bloom ;) The Religion of the Triworlds The Religion of the Triworlds believes that there are 3 different planes of existence. The three planes are connected and it’s possible with the right training to be able to transport your existence to the…
Thanks! Here's my update from last night, I added detail into those 3 insets, I added an escape hatch for scale and how he can get in and out, with the texturing of that cargo piece of the bottom, it will make more sense for the evacuees to be transported in it. I have a rough idea of how I want to break down my materials.…
Hi all, Sorry for the silence. I finished off the rest of the seaborne units and an attack helicopter :) We also spent a lot of time figuring out what to do about the logo. Well, here are the ships. The cruiser. It's a seaborne, anti-aircraft and anti-submarine unit: The submarine is an anti-ship unit. We decided we are…
It looks good so far, but try tracing that font in photoshop 1to1, it is extremely important to convey the right mood. Fonts transport a lot of character, and the brain is trained to react a lot stronger to text than images (2-3x). It does not feel right to me (also the kerning of the Z is really off) Im not really good…
But for that you'd have to get demolition experts to the location first (when they need medics and rescue troops there's usually no space on the transporter to spare for other people) and a civilian can hardly order the military around so the experts would have to have been nearby already. And wouldn't it have made more…
