Texel Density Toolkit v1.4 is out; http://forums.luxology.com/topic.aspx?f=83&t=77203 For MODO 701 SP2 only, it's now been rewritten as a Python API plugin, so it's a lot faster than before.

Like Aabel said. Having a universal tool creation environment is a dream comes true for any tech artist creating tools for others to use. As of now we have Python and Qt for things we want to run across multiple applications but the things it can do pale in comparison to FE.
Maratis and Shiva, they both export to Unity. I didn't find any topic that have a list of engines that export to iPhone Maratis Unity SIO2 Shiva Bork3D Cocos2d I only know Python & C, but learning Java now for Unity Script :) doesn't UDK focus on FPS games?
The way this is supposed to work is that you're sending a command line to the various .exe's and there's some discrepancy between how strings are represented in mel and the windows shell. But you're right - I'm thinking the best thing would be to just ignore this and rewrite some similar tools in python inside substance…

I just re-textured a Colt Python I made a short while ago. While I'm more happy with it now, I think I'm going to redo the handle. You can see more pictures here.
Short update: i'm writing a Maya plugin that calculates mesh convexity/concavity into vertex color. Right now it's a simple fire-forget python script but i'm putting it in a deformer so You can adjust the parameters live.
I'll check out Hot Fuzz, but I'm not expecting much. Shaun of the Dead wasn't terribly funny to me. I guess I just don't get British humor. I don't like Monty Python, either.
