I think it really depends on the scale of the operation and how many people in main roles insist on the practice. Moving to remote would be beneficial, though I'm not sure how heavily invested studios are on their budget for the space they are renting, so that is a massive amount to lose.…
Unbreakable 2 is on the cards http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?nid=13123 EDIT: I just realised thatsd from 2001. But I heard rumour recently about it. Will see what I can find ah. Here's more on it. Its still a possibility.…
I think this could be a good start https://digitalerr0r.wordpress.com/2009/03/23/xna-shader-programming-tutorial-1-ambient-light/ MS's site also has great resources. Filter by Game:Shader should give you quite a lot of look at. http://xbox.create.msdn.com/en-US/education/catalog/?contenttype=0&devarea=14&platform=0&sort=1
The problem I see with these "studies" is that you're not really capturing the "character" of the band members. My suggestion would be to model them somewhat accurately, then stylize them. Do some research on caricatures as well. This will help with your decision making. "what features should i exaggerate, and why?" kind…
Hey! They're all looking good:) If they're for the player character I'd perhaps tweak some on the shoot animation. Seeing how it is a bit to slow and unresponsive. Take a look at this GDC talk and see if you can implement the LoL-tip for responsive anims. (go to 03:30 / "Trick 2 - Responsive Anims"…
According to http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/09/news_6120126.html there will not be video. Which is a shame as you'd go nuts for the ambush scene first talked about above. Our ingame quality is higher than most rendered cinematics these days. I expect the ambush scene will turn up soon on shakycam though so grab it…
I tend to put up the logo of what ever company I work for. My current job is over, nd aI amlooking, as I never had the time to change it from the previous Job. The one that shows was from the job that went from Nov. '03 to Dec '05 at Castaway Entertainment L.L.C. I'll think of something to post soon. Scott
Yea, the problem is it is lacking everything dynamic with the lack of specular direction being the biggest problem. In the forest scene it gets clumsy and again nothing is dynamic which just make it look photo realistic when it is standing still. The scanning is however very cool, the Vanishing of Ethan Carter used it also…
This trailer really shapes a good feel for this game. Facial animation is pretty awesome, but I truly hope that they go back and fix the screaming lady's bobble-head issue. I kinda chuckled at that. The textures are definitely on the low-res side for this game. If this game was in production since 03, it might explain why…
She is absolutely horrifying o_o You should have second look at some references for the knees as there should be more of a michelin effect there, depending of course how far you really want to go with the fat. I would go for either really obese…
