upgrading the ram is one thing, upgrading the whole console is another. Hopefully this sets the stage for the NX to come in, with people disenfranchised with 2.0 versions of the xbone/ps4. Imo nintendo is the only player that actually treats a console like a console, instead of HTPCs in your living room.
Your right, it would be much easier/faster to just tile all the window frames instead of sculpting each piece which could be time consuming. Consider IF this was for a game, the player may probably not see it from below since some of the windows are up high. Thanks!
That is awesome! I think my only concern is if the players would be able to separate observer from sentry easily. I mean it's kind of obvious with the big purple icon on top of a sentry ward, but I think it's better if they're just a tad bit more distinguishable.
Are your smoothing groups set by your uv islands? What does your normal map look like? Are you baking in max with a cage? As respawn said you are using a ton of geo that won't be seen by the player. Always have confidence In your normal map.
Makes me want to remake something myself... I hope the default (and confusing) front-end and player mesh are there because of the lack of time, not some stupid oversight? Other than that, this is perfect. (I sure will whip out the ol' gray box to double-check that :D )
theres games now with 10 or more for player characters, something that huge i dont see any problem going a lot more than that, as long as they are used and not wasted. place it out in unreal quick at propper scale and walk around it,, if its too low, increase
Awesome, that clears that up. Thanks kroma. I always see these insanely accurate models people do for games, even in places that are completely invisible to the player, never saw the purpose. Superly that's just classed as un-needed work? Didn't think anyone would be up for that.
Best guess would be to make a holographic material (tonnes of stuff on here and on the webz) and then through kismet, figure out the x,y,z of where the player got shot (There is a projectile landed event and seems to give reference to the projectile) feed that into a mesh and play a matinee sequence.
Quick little update, started modelling the center piece robot. It's in early block out stages so any feedback on what could make it look better would be sweet. For scale purposes it's about 3 humans tall so it'll look down at the player.
ya i like it when you have the difference symbols for above/below and level to the player,i also like minimaps that put outlines around buildings and things that are solid so you can easily see in the minimap where you can and cant go.
