Thanks! I'm working on the stone island/ruins which I hope will break up the color a bit, but I completely agree it need more vegetation, mosses and molds. I might have been too careful with keeping the wood clean.
Started on the first clump of grass. Pleased how headache free that was to get working compared to UDK.. I'll be colour adjusting things later. Not sure how to get a more random distribution when painting it as vegetation, any values i'm missing?

What type of map are you looking to make? Singleplayer/Multi? Either way, its quite sparse right now, and any fire fights would have players constantly in the open with no cover. Adding more land/vegetation should help that.
@Ruan great effort indeed, I hope it's going to be usable soon. Custom vertex normals would be extremely useful despite vegetation shader partially alieviating the problem of blocky shading (but only partially). I'm not sure it's something that can be done with an exporter is it?
Any parts you liked were mine. Honestly though, a lot of the vegetation in the vids, but most of the work I'm on won't be visible till the final game (doing map beautification) but while waiting on Level Designers I was making random 3d assets.
the close up shot looks pretty good...the wide angle is lacking...you might want to add some assets to break up the edges...some dead frozen vegetation....bones...even barrels...anything to fill in the space and make it more interesting

Started work on a new scene For this i am making everything with a combination of designer. zbrush and unreal. Not sure whether i will be including any scanned data as of yet. All the vegetation was made using a plantmaker node i created in designer. early stages
Looks like a good start. Looking forward to seeing how you plan to fill the scene. Right now the area is pretty bare, I think it would be cool to populate the area with trees and a little bit of vegetation similar to the image you posted.
