Give this a try; https://gist.github.com/Farfarer/6903839 It should automatically set up your assets to have the correct settings when Unity imports them. Oh, and for the normal texture mode, it'll set it to compress the textures as swizzled DXT5 (or as regular RGB for mobile) - the UnpackNormals macro in the shader will… -

Yeah, when I bought it was $69.99, now it's only available from 3rd parties for $100+. All the blue canvas books have relatively small print runs, but they are badass I missed out on their book for The Order 1886, and they did one for Journey and Homeworld. Their magazine and website were shuttered recently, not sure what… -
