Not sure if this is the kind of drawing I'm supposed to post here but I'll go ahead anyway. I'm very much a beginner when it comes to drawing. I've got myself a graphic tablet but my college tutor and I have decided that I should go back to more traditional techniques before using a digital medium. So here's a sketch I did…
badass wizo :D good luck with the acrylics, that stuff scares me honestly. You're braver than me. love those faces allan! Makes me wanna sketch some :o makkon <3 tacit... dude, I love everything you do, do you think you'll ever take any of these to a finished state... maybe make a 3d model or something?
moof: Thanks man! I'm not really sure what is up with polycount.. is it bad that I am used to it by now? Callesaw: Looking sweet! Redid a sketch from a long time ago(5 years old!), I really enjoyed the shapes of it now, but my 18 year old self had no knowledge where to take it too. Glad I stepped in and changed that :P
well i figure if a double cross-post is ok, then a XXX-post is even better? :P This is the 3rd time i'm putting this up; I apologize if you're tired of seeing it! Either way, I've been trying to do more sketching, and I'm loving what I'm seeing in this thread! and here's a link to my wip thread:…
I did a quick tutorial. Main things to remember is to reference your light source and use true white and black cautiously as too much sugar can be a bad thing. Nice stuff Erik and Stinger88 Erik, I know these a very fast loose sketches, so just a suggestion, maybe next time you try translucent skin you could add a hint of things underneath to really sell it. Still, cool stuff ^^. haha the lunch thing was actually just a tagline for the image but good to know xD (sorry it was my…
Took a break from figure sketching this weekend to try another painting. I wanted to try and put into practice the stuff I keep reading about and seeing in other people's work ... scene composition, depth, trying to tell a story in the image, and other things. Excuse the cucumber space monster with the metal face .. I…
lovely stuff everyone! @Pipp I think what works is that your colors are not too far in value but contrast well in hue, you might consider carrying through that lightened and saturated color theme onto the characters. The mood gets a bit lost with them rendered near black. I needed a fun mental release from work. So I dug…
Great inspiration from this thread, as always..! You are too many to name since ive been lurking there for a long time..! So, I am working on some artwork for a board card game set in a postapocalyptic western kinda world, and i've been sketching some characters for it. Experimenting really as its my first illustration…
Awesome work peeps. Loving the daily sketches Erik. To answer your question on the mech "How does it look like form the front and in perspective?". I might get to that one day, for now they are just doodles. I have a pretty good idea how they would look in my head though. :P Twoflower those are gorgeous. Love the colours…
