Imad, that's cool and all, but the purpose of this thread is to share how you've modeled something. Do you have a wireframe shot or something?

@wirrexx Thanks for the answer. I tried to understand subdivision modeling. I think, you're right, less "rectanguals" are better for me.

Is your modeling stack frozen? And do you got some cluster properties like user normals or hard edges assigned?

I'd just model it as a separate mesh on top of the body of the car, you can subdivide the body and then delete intersecting faces at the end.

@Dreyzie Model it out flat, then use bend to roll it cylindrical. I might suggest fattening up the nozzle, but that's your call.

Well, I was using this reference image, which I believe is the same model, to me it seemed like it was extruded from the side.

Simple question here, how would I go about getting rid of this triangle? This is supposed to be a bracer for the top part of the model.

I was messing around with this object as well since I'm trying to get better at Sub-D modeling. Here are my results:

Floating geometry might also be the answer. http://www.iddevnet.com/quake4/ArtReference_CreatingModels (see the screenshots at the end of the "Modeling Your Character" section)
