They are pretty bland screenshots though, the old jumping out of the explosion scene, and the old dynamic shooting across the near to the far scene. They could try something a little different which I garantee would sell it better. Like shots of him filing his paperwork at the end of the day, or having to squeeze one out…
Ok, so I tried a few things. I imported the file from Maya as FBX file, and it works while the scene is unlit, it also works with a directional light. HOWEVER it doesnt work with a spot light. Once the spot light is in the scene, and I build the light then the Material doesnt show up. (The entire mesh turns black.) Any…
I am glad you enjoyed this! I did not create the assets since creating so good assets needs time and I didn't have much. Most of them are from the marketplace. Thanks for the feedback. I already have a night scene for the same scene but making a transition is a challenge. I will have those in mind for future projects. One
Hey guys! Just found a CLUE! I started up my Max scene with lo-poly pavments, the scene scale was in inches. Before I was working with santimeters. Max asked me, would i like to reascale objects to inches, i said Yes. And something became with corner part! Why is that happend and may it be related to UDK issues?
This is an awesome scene the way you made the fog work in the scene is sweet. I am using a similar workflow for my terrain. How did ya use the snow, was it just a plain texture or was it from World machine? I looked at your portfolio and saw the other snow images with the tower..... dam thats sweet, very nice job!
Saw it last night with a group of friends and we all loved it. Such a fun movie; smart writing, some great action scenes (yeah, the forest scene? Holy shit), and great performances all around. Downey Jr and Jude Law have even better chemistry in this one I think, they play off each other so well.
Yes, the essence of the contest is taking a game you love and recreating it (or a scene from it) in isometric perspective/style. We posted a bunch of examples of isometric art created in Hexels in our inspiration board: https://www.pinterest.com/marmosethexels/cubed-inspiration-board/ Note: these are examples of isometric…
Started with creating some modular props for my scene. Trying to keep them all in the same style. Changed the lighting a little bit as well, I added a Directional Light to boost the global brightness and give the scene a fancy illumination angle. Level update: Can't wait to animate the ventilation turbine and have some…
Nice scene and its a good recreation of the original. I would say add the snow and push the roughness detail. At the moment it looks like 1 type of flat metal with almost no albedo or roughness breakup. You could push the scene so much further and give it more character than the original with some real texturing. Keep…
Standard fixes for Maya: - delete history, optimize scene and unparent from anything (if it's the case) - copy and paste object in new scene and see if problem persists (or export as obj and reimport) - combine object to a cube and then delete the cube (a dirty reset) - viewport 2.0 has these kind of issues (selections and…
