Ah thank you guys! At first opening photoshop with my pen worked, aaaand then it stopped working. I just recently tried closing photoshop after selecting a brush with my pen, and then re-opening it with my pen and that seemed to correct the issue. How finicky XD -

Sean VanGorder my god you're right! Aaaaaah, why didn't I know about this. Perhaps the new one supports curved cropping like the warp tool. -
