The textures are pretty bad. What resolution are you using? Also note that a really big texture that has lower resolution textures scaled up to look bigger, doesn't actually make it a high resolution texture. You shouldn't ever upscale any parts of a texture that you use. Either tile it or find other textures.
+1 to above post. Also i think a texture resolution of at least 4k is required for the building, otherwise your textures will get pixelated. Either increase texture/map resolution or increase the number of patches. And when using triplaner projection, do a test resolution check by merging the triplaner projection layer to…
Yes. Building the lighting means it gets baked into lightmap textures. Which has a resolution. Your lightmap resolution is too low on this piece. There is a view mode to inspect the lightmap resolution on the meshes. You can check out the related Unreal Engine doc. Also check out the link from my previous post. It would…
Basically texel density is the amount of texture resolution in a mesh, so the more space your UVs shells cover in the 0-1 space the more resolution you will have and the final textures will be more detailed and crisp. So more squares = more resolution UVs are hard at the beginning because it is a completely technical…
I think it's more with the resolution. You can probably run it with 360 specs, but at the lower resolution it was rendered at (I believe it was rendered at 1024x576 or less, then upscaled - like Halo3). The higher resolutions people play will obviously require a hell of a lot more power. I can play Crysis silky smooth at…
[ QUOTE ] The cause-and-effect on this cycle of events has persisted for decades - it's no coincidence that the fall of the Shah of Iran and the Iranian Revolution happened to include an American hostage crisis and denunciations of the US as the 'Great Satan'. That wasn't last year, it was 1979. Surely no one is going to…
So Megascan we hope will launch soon we are working on some of the back end stuff as well as polishing the service for launch and are making large tweaks to the scans and adding new features/materials to the list. I won't get into much detail here about what makes us different from others sites or competitors. I will…
This is not something suited for this thread as it is troubleshooting. I don't have an answer since I never work with smaller maps then the intended output resolution. If I remeber it correctly there is supposed to be a way to import the full resolution maps but work with them in a lower resolution until export. I will…
Tomseas Are you dynameshing at a resolution of 512?? It doesn't look like the object has taken the 512 resolution mate. Looking at your active points it doesn't seem high enough from the pictures. I mean from what I see from the 3rd picture is your activepoints are 13,372. You should be in the region of XXX,XXX…
I'm not too sure about this to be honest but I think what may happen is the resolution being used when you publish the substance appears to affect the resolution of the maps stored in the sbsar file. So if you have the graph set to 1024 it will compress the maps for that resolution. So then displaying it at 2048 in Toolbag…
