Dude... Im a little disappointed. VFX reel and there is almost no fire or fiery explosions... Clearly not a REAL vfx reel :P /sarcasm AMAZING reel. Holy crap. Love the stuff you did for injustice. But I loved seeing so much variety. Having lego in there is definitely a plus! fantastic work!
I get that feeling when I see two very very different materials touching each other at a boundry with absolutely no "transition" from one material to another at the adjacent areas. Makes real life feel like legos when you spend a lot of time making transitions in 3d.
Here's a general 'Why not use Blender for games production?' presentation given at this year's Blender Conference by Aidy Burrows, late of Tt Fusion (Lego franchise games) and now with CG Masters. I suggest to make the legs much shorter. As bulldogs are known for having really small but strong legs. Smaller legs will also improve the overall appearance of the charackter in my opinion. At the moment mostly the head is comunicating the bulldog similarity. The basic form of the legs is also fitting. But shorter legs…
Only thing i can say at this point is that it is a great concept and i can't wait to see the results. You have to be very careful and have good planing on how the final props will be like, because with legos it is easier to do. But if you can develop that tool effectively and add different themes/eras, it has the potential…
Maybe i'm wrong but it looks like you've painted the ground on a big unique texture and not using "prebuilt" modules to make some kind of big lego. It doesn't seem to be flexible and fast to build entires level this way, plus the ground resolution is lower than the rest. (yeah i've heard about carmack megatexture but i'm…
27. Worked at TT Games for a few years on the LEGO games, now I'm a University lecturer. I'm pretty chill and happy, I definitely prefer teaching than being in industry, for now anyways. I mostly 3D model and draw in my free time, it's my life, but I also like cooking =P
I think the only thing that's annoyed me is the cross checking between actual wattage capacities, or why all MOBOs don't play nice with all CPUs. Can someone correct me if I am wrong that this is really the only "esoteric" wall that people need to get over once they think it's vaguely like LEGOs?
