Found this concept from remotecrab131 and thought to give a shot on 3D. The blocking and UV's are done I guess, now I gonna try to texture on substance painter. So far just basic surface shader from arnold:
Hey guys, Want to share my first 3D portrait (not a game asset). Hopefully the likeness comes through. Software used: Maya, Mari, Zbrush, Arnold, Yeti and Photoshop. Would love to get some CC. Thanks!
Hello guys! I'd like to share a work i did recently, a likeness of the Hound from GOT done as a likeness and grooming exercise, done in Maya Zbrush Mari Xgen Arnold Hope you guys like it!
Yeah for some reason the alHair shader doesn't appear despite me reinstalling arnold a bunch of times and bringing the shaders over from the website , the shader is even in the folder but it doesn't appear.
I like to take celebrity names and insert my own name into them. For Example: * Glynnt Eastwood * Glynn Diesel * Arnold SchwarzGlynneggar Try it. It will improve your life by up to 50%.
They're huge NGONs. When maya does the pass-over to Arnold the geometry must be triangulated in a different way. If you don't care for the topology run a Triangulate command on it then try again.
The main purpose Houdini had, at the company where I worked was for dynamic fur, some rendering (main renderer was Arnold AFAIK) and various particle effects. It wasn't a game company though.
That is hot!.. and freaky seeing the muscle like tubes contracting. The one thing the video was lacking was arnolds voice saying.. "I'm going to need you to listen to me, very carefully" :P
@Joltya: Thanks! This was rendered with Arnold for Maya, :) @MrD4th: Thank you! Yup, I focus more on concept sculpting, but creating animation/game ready models is something I'm learning currently also, :D
nearly every render has a data container to load objects only during render time... in vray its vrmesh proxy... in arnold its a standin... just convert the highres chainmail to a vray mesh...
