Got the camera today after I got out of work this morning. I got it at Staples and they had it for 350. I figured it beat the shipping and the wait from getting it online, so I got it and a two gig stick for it. I'll be making a thread in the pimp section soon with some environments. In max if you leave it as an editable mesh, add an 'edit poly' modifier, then export, it seems to work. converting to to edit poly directly doesn't always work sometimes you don't need to do this, but the occasional mesh does( max… -

Holy shit 300 for a character. You are insane. I wouldn't do a wii type character for that little. If it involves high poly, game, and textures then man i wouldn't ask for less than 800-1200. I have done really small things in the past. Tables, rocks, etc that have paid 350-500. -

I switched over to 3d coat after a few years using Topogun. I haven't looked back. I had lots of small annoyances and issues with Topogun that were never addressed. 3d coat has its own weird annoyances but overall I prefer it for my retopo needs. Zremesher is awesome for a lot of things, especially cleaning up sculpting…
