@jeffry Here's the wireframe, it's a bit of a mess at the moment, most of it is still low poly. For the renders, I used blenders bevel shader. The welds are just cylinders with a displacement modifier. I'll probably switch out the texture for something that looks more like welds but it works for now.

Cool idea for a project :) I don't know what you're modelling in, but to help us help you it would be helpful with some more ambient occlusion or wireframes on your WIP shots. Right now it's a bit difficult to make out the different elements in your pictures
Could we see the wireframes? And take the turbosmooth off, you're making it harder on yourself with it on. Also, could you post the link to that particular entry? That way we can help you fix what is wrong since this doesn't look like a nose at all really
Ok guys i got my first part of my blockmap down this is what the basics of the level look like in wireframe: And here is what the two main rooms look like: I am using UDK stock props until my props are completed.
Your link is broken, it just redirects you to polycount. Aside from that your work looks really good, the one thing that is bugging me though is the lack of wireframes. I think you could really benefit from having more shots of your wires.
Note that this only works in Max 2008 or Max 2009. If you're on a previous version, you will either need to attach the meshes, or unwrap one part and save out the wireframe UV layout image, and use that as a background. In which case I'd say attach, since it's faster.
sorry about the first post being broken! my bad. ahh your right! the door is gone.. i modeled an arch doorway to be there.. it apparently ran away! haha thanks for noticing that :) im gonna do some improvements on it, and ill post new shots, with wireframe.
Thanks for the wireframe shots Tiros! Dont have any crits at the moment. I know its early in the progress but later on I think a lot of modern stuff like electric wires, satelite dishes etc would be cool. Maybe have a look at Stranglehold for inspiration?
Exceptional work! My only crit is where the grass shore meets the water in the foreground...needs something there. Maybe some small rocks or even rocks that are half in the water etc. Can you show you're tree and grass wireframes>? Also branch closeups? Cheers!
