Yeah, I am planning to do some more instructional vidoes and stuff soon, just need to get other things out of my way first : ) But yeah, the UDK masterclase should be easy to transfer to UE4, basics are all the same : )
This is coming along very nice, thanks for sharing. Mind going over some of your process and what your end goal for this project might be; Like are you going to transfer this down to a low poly mesh or just leave it high poly?
You can assign a base texture to your highres mesh in xnormal and bake that to your lowpoly, or you can bake vertex colors from your highres as well, both are viable ways to transfer a diffuse map from highres to lowres.
It is more efficient to not have that many materials on an object. Each one of those materials essentially draws as a separate render call. You should use render to texture (max) or transfer maps (maya) to create a new object that has a single material on it.
The Eat3D one should transfer easily over to Zbrush if you know your tools. For something as simple as you have there, just create a box around your hi-poly and cut the indentions out where you sculpted the wear/erosion.
Thanks MoP and Paro. I've seen quite a few things on Mix but have never used it. My question then (before a lot of work goes to waste): Would those Mix materials transfer to .X format? (this is for a project I am helping with).
[ QUOTE ] I'm almost positive that's what Microsoft was saying X360 and Vista will do. [/ QUOTE ] Thus far I've heard it'll allow you to transfer files between the two, so you can watch videos or play songs...was there more to it?
when fido or whatever provider says you get X number of MB data transfers on a certain plan, is that amount for using the providers internet service or also includes data using a wireless connection like the one I have at home?
pretty awesome, i remember seeing that model a while back and its cool to see it being broken down for people to learn from. ill probably pick this up soon, even though its XSI based, the concepts should be transferable.
Hi there, do you usually start with line art when drawing? If you are more confident in your value and form, perhaps starting out by blocking those out and then using those to help guide your line art might be a way to help you out. If you take public transport, keeping a small sketchbook around and looking for good…
