Hi, everyone. I'm currently learning CG at school for 8 months to become a modeler & texture artist. Now I'm sculpting Queen's guitarist Brian May in his age of late 20 for my portfolio. I thought almost done with face and move to body and Retopo, but I feel this face kind of cartoony and lack of details... Tried to add…
To day I finished the Iron-Horde Ram, so one day before deadline. I will rest now and check tomorrow again if I can find some parts were I have to rework, but so far I consider it DONE. (The front wheel is not done by me, it's extracted from World of Warcraft, by Blizzard Entertainment)
The QC command is $jointsurfaceprop slightly more info under $surfaceprop but its pretty straight forward. If all else fails you can export each material group as a separate prop, its super easy to align them by cloning the prop and changing the model, if they share the same axis or root joint position. TF2 damage is a bit…
I think unfortunately it’s a risk of any application. I once went to a recruitment evening, followed by application and job interview, only to be offered a salary that didn’t cover my living costs especially in the location. I had to turn it down. Most times applying for a job isn’t that time consuming, and if you don’t…
This is the letter I wrote to the research department responsible for the study: To whom it may concern, I was just reading about a research article one of your graduate students recently had published. Hope Cummings' article, which I have not had the chance of reading yet, was about how games took time away from reading…
You raise lots of good points, but here it is "it's either modeled geometry or cleverly placed alphas" you wont have much of a choice. If this is looked at from lots of angles and you don't want to model actual geometry crossfit the alpha planes in a + pose or if you have the leisure to use lots of geo have a look at…
Ok. You proabably aware about this problem in Max its very popular request, but for some reason almoust no one still haven't solved this issue and those who solved want you to pay them money for that solution. I think its not fair that you should pay something for stuff that should be there by default. Which is why I…

Lamarr's Big Day As was previously seen on The Screen Savers. Please help support the show, and let me know what kind of things you specifically want to see on…
For such object you don't need Hi poly at all. Just "rounded corners', "bevel" or whatever it may be called shader. Almost evry 3d package or offline renderer has one. Arnold does for example. No cage necessary, no troubles with ray missing .
Wow great collection there; I myself have also modelled an S7 - may i ask what materials you used for that nice render? Ive only used mental ray so far and the difference between your vray render is phenomenal!
