Personally I think base meshs are becoming obsolete, just use sculptris and pull the forms out of a sphere, or even zbrush(forget zspheres two I think they are more work), pull out from a sphere and reproject and decimate like that guys workflow on here said. Its more freedom, to move and pull things around that way.
The sad part in all of this is: "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter!" Just depends where and why you are - screw how YOU think of yourself, it's how others see You. And people generally don't think highly of those who are different from themselves.. (here again an unfounded generalization, but sadly one…
Thank you all for sharing things so far! I've been on a bit of a vacation right now, but I'll look over everything as soon as I can! I can already tell these will be a big help for me teaching my friends or organizing thoughts for making videos. Especially glad that I can see where things were originally from, so citing…
@Fabi_G I worried about that as well later into designing it honestly. An idea I had that might work for it is that it could use the opening and closing of the mouths across the back of its neck to aid in bending it, opening them and shifting them left or right similar to how we shift our jaws to allow freedom of movement…
gsokol> Your GF is right about them being far more lethal than lets say a car. But many accidents are due to the rider being careless and this is something you can control yourself. Lot's of solo accidents due to higher speed than allowed. It cant be denied that it's loads of fun, a great feeling of freedom and a nice…
strongly disagree, and Stefan knows whats up ! personally my favorites of the need for speed series are: NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 (2002) - got me into the series NFS: Underground 2 (2004) - loved the freedom and customization abilities NFS: Most Wanted (2005) - actually posed a challenge with the cops and mixed everything nicely…
#2 update! Hey guys, Finally had some free time to keep this piece going! I took the blockout a bit further, and decided to give myself some freedom here. Will be giving this whole piece a more gothic style. Perhaps the big tower will be like an old clock tower; but not sure though. Blockout´s ready! Let´s keep this going…
Thats an interesting thing you'd think Blender would have more unique things(apart from the interface). Everyone has total freedom to do whatever they want in it whatever way they want, and yet its features and the implementation of those features are a bit mundane. I guess its the made by commity mentality, any idea to…
@passerby True, and sometimes the lead needs to be checked to stop refactoring everything! We have a very flat hierarchy, which is a massive bonus. No one is in a position where one has total freedom of decision making, however, the tech lead ( our ) has the habit of changing things without fully explaining what the…
That's interesting. Maybe I should just try and model like that then. I guess I like the freedom of the edge weighting system - meaning that if I change my mind about an edge, I don't have to remove a bunch of edge loops. I just click and change the weighting. Might be a workflow flaw that I need to work out more than…
