I agree with what the others have posted. I'd probably just build him without most of the armour on (like in that link that was provided of the war online model, then when you have that all finished, build some armour for him to wear! You could have a beast man fashion show <3 Good to see you modelling Jen!
Im still ironing out the kinks in my character model. But seen as i have a deadline, i have started create the armour pieces in 3ds max. Any thoughts? Its fairly basic at the moment, I am going to add detail to the armour later. I just wanted to get the basic shapes right. [IMG][/img]
sadly i couldn't spare much time lately, but i managed to work on his trophies a little more. first up a tasset armour piece (worn on his left upper arm) taken from a foolish knight (that got stomped to death): and a torc especially made by some dwarve armourers (so he wouldn't stomp them to death):
I love that PA design. You've found the perfect spot between 1) an armour that actually appears to be made from metal and looks protective (not like it's made from paper machee and got plates randomly attached to limbs, like a lot of other PA items out there) and 2) an armour that doesn't look too bulky for an agi carry.
Hey guys, I'm starting off my sketchbook with a zbrush character who I will need a lot of feedback as i work on him. This is a character I concepted fairly quickly. He is a revenant knight. In case youre interested check out his back story at the bottom. I watched the Gnomon Zbrush intro course and so im pretty confident…
Maybe make the scales bigger? theyll get lost as noise and will fit with his overall style more. Also id suggest bring the knees in a bit more, the s curve is getting a bit lost. Otherwise the armour is nice and solid, and the clothing has nice thickness. But the armour is looking a bit soft in places, some hPolish-ing…
BACK TO WORK THEN! Haha. I was actually planning on posing her so I was thinking of doing the texturing process after the pose. I wanted to sculpt a layer of chainmail around her exposed areas so at the same time I can texture the armour but now that I think about it, it would be easier to texture her armour in a neutral…
I would change the lighting so there is a nice light under the knight this would highlight him in the scene a lot more. From my first glance I found it a bit hard to workout what is going on in the scene. Is he a giant suit of armour or is this the armoured mans workshop. Anyway some really cool elements right now so keep…
It looks as though you are not even using any masking/extracting techniques in zbrush and you are actually trying to sculpt all the armour all onto one subtool, i dont think you are going to get desirable results this way. A couple images up you seem to have started modeling the armour in maya, why did you stop with this…
Heyy, Nice work so far, She has a lovely thicc body shape, cant wait to see how this turns out! When I was making my own sci-fi girl I used the topology brush to make some of the armour parts,. With mixture of masking and polygrouping, you can crease edges to make hard surface armour.
