Reminds me of an old thread over @ UP - had thought about starting one here to - it was mostly relating to UT / UT2004 mapping but kinda holds true : http://www.unrealplayground.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45162&highlight=shoddy
[ QUOTE ] It's like a Saturday Night Live routine happened in real life!!! I'm busting a gut. --- I'm a sucker for Sandman, partly because I'm a diehard SRV fan, too [/ QUOTE ] SRV is related to Enter Sandman...how?
I tend to spend more time listening to online music programs and podcasts. I vary between, 3hive, coverville, npr:asc, and the regular game related casts... along with whatever decent myspace bands I come across.
Thanks! To get a report, just type "dxdiag" at the run prompt, and save a text file. The report just tells me what your driver versions are, because sometimes crashing can turn out to be related to a particular driver.
If it was in 3dsmax I would you down the stack and attach the phantom gizmo to the mesh. If there are no polys relating to the gizmo, I presume it would just disappear. Sounds as though you are using maya though, so not sure if this would work
I agree with Fjornsvavne that the arms are much too long. Also I'd rethink the proportion of the pectoral - in relation to his otherwise lanky body, the pecs are just too dominant. other than those things, looks very cool!
So Ruz, just out of curiosity, what type of job would you be going for if you're no longer gonna work in the games industry? Still art related? Or something completely different from what you've been doing?
What you're looking for might not be related directly to anatomy but to "how to draw better", where "better" is subjective. What are your goals, exactly? stylization? efficiency in constructing the head (form & abstraction)? hardcore anatomy (deep muscles & tissue deformation)?
Hey Deep4d - have you ensured that your video card is being used for 3DO instead of your integrated graphics? This would explain the slow painting - not the "rollback" issue, but I suspect it may be related. Let me know!
Ah, this question comes up often. It's certain that they did; There are also many coats of arms and house symbols that include the stechhelm with ornate plumes, often featuring something bird-related. I'm pretty sure some of these are not from the times, but several are.
